- write down homework assignments in the agenda
- take notes
- complete homework on time
- study for tests
- ask to retake tests, get the help to do so, and follow through with completing a retake
- ask for help when it's needed
- any teacher will find the time to work with a child individually
- the golden rule: "Do unto others as you would have done unto you"
- be honest; everyone makes mistakes
- integrity: make good choices even if you think no one is watching
- have materials needed for class: agenda, paper, pencil, CHARGED Chromebook, homework
- ask parents for more school supplies when the original set is almost gone

- sort through papers on a daily or weekly basis
- see that the agenda is used properly
- make sure that the book bag is clean
- ask if school supplies such as paper and pencils are stocked throughout the year
- ask what your child learned that day
- find out if there's something your child still doesn't understand from that day
- ask your child if they know when upcoming tests will be
- offer to help your child study for tests and model study skills
- find a fun website to practice facts (https://www.factmonster.com/math/flashcards)
- choose a fact of the day to practice in the car, at dinner, or post on a bathroom mirror
- while cooking, add, subtract, multiply, or divide with fractions
- use ratios with recipes
- find tax, tips, and discounts with or without a calculator
